Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have very special, needy students in my Integrated Co-Teaching class. We are a Title 1 funded school. The disabilities affecting my students range from speech and language to autism. They just don't have the resources available that they need. I have a wonderful class. They are learning to work together, be more creative, be more independent, and have a more positive outlook on life. My amazing students come into school everyday with an eagerness to learn something new. They are curious, funny, charming, and hard working. They motivate me to be a better teacher and I always want to make sure they have everything they need to make learning fun.

My Project

My students truly love to read. They have improved so much with their reading skills that they need additional books at a higher level to read. These books will be taken home weekly with the students to read at home. They will also be used during our independent reading time in class. They love to read so much, I want to give them the tools for reading so they can continue their passion for reading and become life long readers. Please donate to our leveled library so that my current and future students can have the materials to be successful readers. My students will love to read more by having a variety of books that will pertain to their interests and to their levels. By having books that will pertain to their interest and to their levels, my students will be encouraged to read them and read more. By them reading more, my students will become more fluent readers.
