This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 2nd-grade terrific Torchlighters fly into our school every day eager to start our day and find out what we get to explore next. I love having the opportunity to greet them at our door every day.
I have the opportunity to work with students in the Gifted and Talented program that crave challenges and new experiences.
I look forward to these materials bringing many more light bulb moments to our class and seeing their faces elated from learning. They enjoy being exposed to unique, challenging and targeted learning experiences.
My Project
We are requesting literacy resources to allow students to practice fluency and develop vocabulary in an exciting way! The headphones splitters will enable students to share their work to a digital portfolio online for families. Students record their work they are proud of and this helps parents start a conversation about what they learned at school that day.
The books were selected to strengthen our literacy connections while developing our growth-mindset community.
These resources will transform presentation abilities, encourage collaboration and promote growth-mindset. The resources will hold students accountable for their learning and help them show their progress as they grow from these experiences.
