This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are third graders in an ICT class with 2 teachers who are full of energy. The students have adapted to the challenges thrown at them and are not only surviving but thriving in this very different environment. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They love reading diverse books, participating in Makerspace activities and STEM challenges and are very curious. I have a large population of English language learners. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. My students are both general and special education students. They are all amazing kids!
Reading and having access to the correct leveled books is so important for growth in 4th grade!
These book bins will be used with the mobile library cart to allow students to easily access books on their level. Being clearly organized will give students the opportunity to read, read, read. The more they read, the more they grow, so they will continue to level up!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
