My Project
Our classroom is a specialized behavior unit for students with social and emotional needs that are greater than what can be provided in the regular classroom. Our self-contained class utilizes social skills and mental health strategies to provide a supportive environment while educating students with the general education academic curriculum.
We have a smaller class size so we can individualize instruction in both academics and social skills to each child's needs and teach them the way they need to learn!
We strive every day to reach every student. Our students' emotional and behavioral needs are our first priority. We teach children to control their emotions and display typical emotional responses rather than oppositional or defiant behaviors. Students mainstream into general education classrooms with a skill set to make them successful!
Our students work so hard; it's time to level up our classroom! We need a ladder to safely reach higher places to share artwork and display our learning. Students love to have their work displayed. Next level up... let's upgrade to Bluetooth speakers and wireless mouse for student sharing projects, and let's plug it all into a safe power source. My students are ready to level up so help us also level up our classroom!
