My Project

What I love most about my students is how much potential they have when given the chance to explore something they truly care about. They are creative, thoughtful, and full of unique perspectives.

They come from a wide range of backgrounds, and while their interests are diverse, I’ve noticed that many struggle to feel genuinely excited about learning.

When students connect their work to something they love, their creativity, focus, and confidence soar — and that’s exactly what I want to make happen.

The Nintendo Switch and carefully chosen video games will become tools for active learning, not just entertainment. Students will study these games like case studies, analyzing gameplay mechanics, storytelling, art design, pacing, and player engagement in real time. They’ll explore big questions: What makes a game addictive? How do emotions and psychology shape player choices? How does design influence a game’s success?

The five additional Chromebooks will ensure every student has access to the technology they need to research, collaborate, design, and present their own original video game concepts. With these resources, students won’t just be consuming games — they’ll be thinking like designers, marketers, and innovators.

By combining hands-on gaming experiences with research, design, and business strategy, this project will spark passion, build essential skills, and help my students see themselves as creators in a world they’ve grown up loving.
