My Students
My first graders are amazing! I'm so lucky to be their teacher! They're eager to learn and love reading and using technology. By the end of the year, my goal is for every student to leave my classroom with a love of reading and writing.
I have fifty first graders with a morning and afternoon class.
I'm so proud of my students for working so hard to master all the first grade standards. I'm their reading and writing teacher, so it's my job to build a love of reading and writing in each and every student. This begins with an inviting classroom filled with high interest books and comfortable seating for students to practice reading.
My Project
These leveled books and stackable stools will make such a huge difference in the lives of my first grade students. These books will allow students choice and reading practice at their independent and instructional reading levels. These books can also be used to instruct small groups of students. The stackable stools will be used at guided reading groups and during buddy or partner reading. Stools allow students to sit closer than traditional chairs, which is perfect for partner reading. Plus, having stools and new seating options give students choice. All students love to have choice especially at reading time. Plus they are colorful and fun which will brighten up our classroom.
