Letters! Letters! We Don't Have 'em, But We Need 'em!!
My students need 3 sets of uppercase magnetic letters, 6 sets of lowercase magnetic letters, 3 sets of uppercase word building letters, and 6 sets of lowercase word building letters.
My classroom is an amazing, fun, supportive place full of energetic first-graders who are eager to learn!
My students are absolutely on fire for word work! They love the time in our day when they can go to the word work shelf and select materials to practice their sight words and spelling words. BUT...the materials are sparse! Right now, we only have one set of magnetic letters that I have borrowed from another teacher, and it doesn't even have all 26 letters! It is very difficult to practice spelling and reading words when you have letters missing!!
I would love to be able to put an ample supply of magnetic letters and word building letters in the hands of my students! If we had 3 uppercase sets and 6 lowercase sets of both kinds of letters, I would have enough for ALL of my students to be able to use them at the same time! Plus, there would still be enough for me to work with a small group!
