Let's Write

My students need charts, write & wipe boards, a writing center and books to enable them to become better writers. I would use the materials for thinking and sharing of ideas, writing a rough draft, composing a copy, editing, and then producing a final copy.

My Students

I am so blessed to teach 23 of the hardest working students in my community. My students come to school prepared to learn, excited to make connections and discoveries, ready to try new things, and with a smile on their face. As a teacher I am a firm believer in work hard, play hard. We have this motto in our classroom. My students work very hard to understand, grow, learn, and flourish in my classroom. But we don't forget to celebrate our accomplishments too.

My Project

I want to foster my students to become amazing writers. I want to empower them with the tools to be able to effectively write narrative, opinion, information, and expository pieces. These are the Common Core writing standards my students need to master in order to thrive in school and life. I am willing to work very hard to teach my students how to become better writers. However, I need tools to help my students organize, write, edit, and publish their writing. The tools I am requesting include: writing prompts, organization activities, editing tools, and books and journals to publish materials in.
