My Students

My students are eager to learn and ready to collaborate!

I teach 21 fourth graders in the suburbs of Saint Louis.

Students in our class are curious and confident learners who love to practice their skills in real world scenarios. From Genius Hour projects to creating "Shark Tank" style pitches, they love to bring their work to the world!

We continuously strive to develop lifelong skills that will prepare these learners to conquer any obstacle that comes their way through the rest of their educational journey.

My Project

I am requesting two classroom tables with whiteboard tops. After attending an innovative classroom design workshop in the spring of 2017 I learned the importance of increasing writable surfaces in the classroom. I currently have two whiteboard tables in our classroom, and it’s hands-down one of the most popular work spaces in our classroom. Student engagement has increased drastically from the excitement of “writing on the table”. Providing students with a new place to work and display their thinking is highly motivating.

Additional whiteboard top tables will add an exciting option for collaboration space in our classroom for years to come.

These new tables will give students ample space in the classroom to collaborate and show their thinking.
