This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a vibrant group of scholars. They are a group of hard-working, talented, and energetic students that love to come to school. They are constantly asking questions, exploring, and making sense of the world around them, all while learning a second language.
My students love to sing, dance, laugh and express their learning.
Something that we pride ourselves on at our school is the joyful learning happening in all classrooms! What we may lack in resources we try our best to give our students other opportunities to learn and grow.
My Project
I joyfully teach a group of vibrant third graders. They genuinely love learning in groups. Instruction occurs in small groups of mixed or same-abilities. Students work together on projects, reading, writing or math activities. In order for this to be successful, I allow students to sit in various places around the room. Therefore, we need clipboards, erasers and markers to give students flexibility to take their work anywhere they may need.
Organizational tools foster student independence.
At the moment since we do not have clipboards they have to use folders to write on. By having the right tools, students will be able to keep their work organize and use it during their small group work.
