These Learning Wrap-Up boards are an excellent tool that provide students an opportunity to build fluency with the new math concepts that we introduce in 7th grade (operations with rational numbers). Also, because the resource involves wrapping a string around a board if feels like a break from traditional pencil and paper work or computer work.
The resources are also naturally scaffolded as the correct options for answers are all shown which provides guidance and support for students struggling.
Since the back of each board shows students if they got them all correct, students can quickly get feedback on the concepts that they are struggling with. Finally, I have also included some Fraction wrap-up boards that will support building the fundamental understandings and fluency needed to succeed with all rational number problems for students that are still struggling with previously covered concepts and standards in the math curriculum.
The last reason why I am requesting this resource is because I had an old set of wrap-up's from when I was a middle schooler that I showed my students last year and students were fighting over it. I know they will love them!
