My Students
Remember your first day of Kindergarten! For most of my students this is their first experience away from their parents for the whole day. It is an emotional time for all of us. On top of the fact that for the majority of them English is not their first language.
I have 25 students who all come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
I want their first school experience to be as positive as possible and I want to instill a love of learning from the get-go!
My Project
My students are Kindergarten English Language Learners from all over the globe. These materials will enable them to learn the language by working independently and with their peers.
These materials are also a lot of fun, and they will be "playing" as they are learning.
The majority of these students come from lower economic backgrounds. These materials will foster their creative side and encourage them to work together and problem solve with out the help of an adult. Hopefully these activities will carry on into the other aspects of their life. I also hope that these materials will make them all smile!
