Help me give my students more engaging virtual lessons! With an iPad I will be be able to move around more freely and take my lessons outside to teach my students how to get moving anywhere.
My students are from a Title I School in Philadelphia. Most are living in a single parent, grandparent or foster parent home. I teach grades K-8 and interact with every student. They are curious, have lots of energy and always eager to try something new.
I need to upgrade my technology in order to teach my students virtually.
I see every student in the school. This project will help me create better lessons that will transition much smoother to the virtual environment. Not to mention, they will be more engaging for my students and encourage them to move around and get creative while they are learning from home.
My Project
When school was virtual last spring, I taught using my phone. It was extremely difficult to engage all my students on a small screen and I was limited to the areas in which I could teach. With an iPad, I will be able to hold lessons where I can see all of my students on one screen! We can travel virtually to the park where I can show them how to work out on different pieces of equipment that they might find in their own neighborhoods. An iPad will give me more freedom to be creative with my lessons and keep my students engaged.
Quarantine has been hard on everyone!
We need to stay fit however we can. This iPad will be great virtually and in person. Once my students return to the building, we can use the iPad to incorporate music into our classes and use it as a projector for target throwing. There are so many options! I can't wait to have more technology in my classroom.
