My students need these wobbly chairs because they have lots of energy and many are individuals with ADD and ADHD. These chairs allow them to move around and stay focused without annoying those around them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class comes from all parts of the city. They are second language learners and have learning disabilities. They are eager to learn and very funny. They come prepared and excited for school. They have their moments, however, with proper support and guidance they find success through out the day. They do not give up and they try to learn in many different ways.

My Project
The yoga/wobbly chairs that I am requesting will help my students focus. Believe it or not students with special needs need to move and be active (maybe we all do.) These chairs allow the students to move around and thus allow them to focus. They also are not disruptive to the classroom environment. I am especially excited for my fifth and sixth periods after a long day the students get pretty antsy. The chairs are not bulky and will fit in my new classroom that is not on the large size. I am excited to have these for the kids when we start school in August.
