Please help me give my students the ability to complete their work in a clasroom that offers a variety of flexible seating options.
Our students today are struggling to learn in an enviornment that asks them to sit at a desk in a chair and focus for extended periods of time!
I am looking to add some wobble chairs and stools to my classroom this year. These active seating options allow for users to wiggle and wobble while sitting and working. They also allow freedom of movement, encourages proper posture while working, and engages your core.
Flexible seating can offer significant benefits to all students, but they especially benifit my students with sensory-seeking behaviors who often struggle with sensory overload. Having flexible seating options avilable for my student learners, will help to promote seating choice, physical health, comfort, community, collaboration, commitment to learning, communication, sensory input, and fun.
