This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My gifted students are always experimenting and creating things. They love to be on the floor all the time. Although our custodians do a good job cleaning, it is important for me to maintain the room clean for my students throughout the whole day. Because of this, cleaning is a daily activity in my classroom. I have always had a vacuum in my classroom and the students always love to help me vacuum the floor and the rugs. But my vacuum broke from wear and tear, I had it for over 10 years, so now it's time for a new one. The only problem is that they have become so expensive.
By donating to this project, you will be helping my students have a clean, sanitized learning environment that allows for sitting on the floor without worrying about dirt and germs.
Aside from this, I'd also love a nice rug for the classroom. Students enjoy going to the rug to read and work on their projects. This rug will create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone.
