Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will use these items to help students become more engaged with their parents at home. I plan to offer weekly checkout of games and have weekly conversation starters for parents and students. Having topics to talk about will help my students use the conversation skills they learn in class at home. I want my students to be able to voice their opinions with well thought out vocabulary. The weekly topics will be the same for all the students, so we will be able to have class discussions on how to properly voice their thoughts. By having the college pennants hung around the room will show students what they can achieve by working hard. Many of my students are English learners, having discussion topics can greatly help their language development.
