Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fifth grade students truly enjoy working together on projects and assignments. They are very creative and like to participate in dramatic activities encompassing reading and writing.

My 5th grade students live in a working class community, which is limited in resources.

Many of my students have some sort of technology at home and even have their own devices. Our school is a small elementary school which is also limited in supplies and technology.

My Project

My fifth grade students truly enjoy creating multimedia projects with their fellow classmates. In our school, we have some computers and even a camera, but recording and sharing becomes difficult when the sound is limited because of limited technology or a student's soft voice. With the new computer, microphone and speaker, by students will be able to not only create videos and multimedia projects, but will also be able to share them with their classmates. With the new improved quality, my students will definitely feel successful enough to even share it on the World Wide Web.

The donations received through this grant will improve my students experiences with multimedia projects.

Currently, soft speakers are difficult to be heard and it creates frustrations in the group. With the microphone and the speaker, these students will feel more comfortable in participating. Also, my students will feel inspired to share their projects on the school website knowing the quality of their project has improved.
