My Students

I started my teaching career as a NYC Teaching Fellow just last year. I teach at a very large New York City public high school in Ozone Park, Queens. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and live in various parts of the city. At this point in the school year most of my students have switched to be fully remote, therefore they do not go into the school building. They are comprised of special and general education students, all with unique needs.

My Project

With COVID and this school year constantly changing, I am now teaching my students online, from home, five days a week. In order to improve teaching remotely, I am requesting a webcam so that I can utilize an extra monitor that I already have in order to conduct live instruction. Having an additional screen set up on my desk will helps make teaching remotely slightly easier. With this new desk arrangement I will also need a wireless keyboard so that I can effectively use my laptop and extra monitor simultaneously. As a result of these extra technology supplies, I will be able to engage more students during class.
