This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth grade students are very loving, caring, and curious. They love being engaged in the classroom and truly appreciate all things donated to the classroom. In addition, these curious fourth graders love learning! My students come from a very low socioeconomic background and do not have the access to technology. Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch. We have the highest rate of ELL (English language learners) in the state and a high number of special education students.

My Project

My fourth grade students students love to play different types of sports with their peers whenever possible, but our school does not provide sport equipment for them. My fourth grade students asked for some recess toys to help stay active and healthy during recess time. The students need items such as kickballs, soccer balls, footballs, soft balls, and jump ropes. These items will help cater to a wide range of students and the activities they enjoy during recess time. These items will also help students gain sportsmanship and a sense of teamwork. They will be very grateful for these sports items.
