This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I think ahead to the next school year, one area I want to increase focus on is writing! Currently, my students struggle with writing and I work hard to come up with ways to make writing fun. My classroom needs a new large dry erase board at the front of the room and my students need individual dry erase boards to practice their writing and for solving math problems.
I teach a self-contained social emotional learning classroom and engaging my students in academics fun and different ways is important.
I thought it would be fun to do a writing-based prize bucket for the next school year! My students will be able to choose from gel pens, pencils, erasers, sticky notes, scratch notecards, and notebooks to add in to their daily routine and sneak in opportunities to write wherever we can!
