Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will utilize the binders and folders to save and complete reading, language arts, and social studies assignments. The curriculums that I use, I do not have a class set, so I will have to run off copies for each lesson and students will keep their copies/notes inside their binders. Each student will receive a binder for reading, a folder for language arts, and a folder for social studies. I want to teach students organization/responsibility when it comes to the binder as well, so I can prepare them for middle school. The dry erase markers are for students to use during lessons in math warm ups when we do whiteboard exchange for a variety of skills. This reviews math concepts that have previously been taught, and that the teacher wants to give a quick practice on before the actual lesson begins.
The composition books will be utilized as math and science journals.
Students can keep up with the focus of each lesson, takes notes, write observations or steps in a process, etc. The chair pockets are to help students keep their desk area organized and not too junky. We will use the notebook paper in almost all lessons in all subjects. The privacy folders are utilized to help students focus and stay on task during testing. Plus, I love the motivational saying on each folder, and motivation in education is everything!
The headphones are utilized throughout the day so students can focus and listen to their screen only. Pre-sharpened pencils are needed so that students do not waste time at the pencil sharpener or just in case one breaks in the middle of the work period. A pencil sharpener is needed so we can continue to work throughout the school day.
