My Project
Please help me support my students this year with a brand new calming corner. My name is Miss Acosta. I am a fourth grade dual ICT teacher. I service students with Individual Educational Plans while also teaching curriculum in Spanish. Working in a dual language ICT classroom can be very stressful for students because they are expected to work twice as hard while also having some sort of classification. My school is located in Corona,Queens and it is considered a title one school, which means that families in the area are all of low socioeconomic means. Trying to get the resources we need in our classroom can be challenging at times. I hope that with these new materials, my students will be able to reduce the amount of stress and anxiety throughout their school day. My goal for this year is to support their mental well being as much as their academic success.
