My Project

Each student in third grade will be given a copy of Lemonade War. With this book, they will work together to find different literary elements such as similes, metaphora, alliteration, and idioms. Students will comprehend the main idea of the text, and apply prior knowledge to understand concepts presented in the text.

Due to the COVID-19 difficulties in education, the students will learn about friendship, classroom community, and working together to bring an idea to completion.

These skills within the text and conversations will allow connection with students emotional wellness. Students will collaborate with others to apply concepts from the book to create their own lemonade stand and work within their group to make their lemonade stand the most successful.
