This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with students in grades 1-5 and they are the best students I could ever ask for. They come to school each day with the desire to learn and succeed. It isn't easy for them; most are learning English as a second language, eat only when they are at school, and have missed out on many of the experiences other children their age have had, but they don't let that stop them! They are determined to overcome the odds and be all they can be!
We love learning together, but right now it's very crowded.
Our classroom only has 5 tables right now, which are made to comfortably seat 2 people. We are working with 3 or 4 students at each table, which makes it difficult to spread out materials or write comfortably. Having a few extra tables would help us spread out and give us space to work!
