My Students
My pre-K scholars are amazing! They are the only full day class in our school. They are eager to learn and love being in school. Our school is very diverse and takes pride in welcoming and engaging all scholars and families. We are committed to creating a school where kids feel safe, loved, and motivated.
As a school, we take pride in creating an environment where we celebrate diversity, discuss and study racial equity, and "inspire all scholars to reach high levels of social and academic achievement and to become future leaders through a collaborative system of support" (our school's mission statement).
My Project
The magnetic letters will allow my scholars to learn more about words; first letter, last letter etc. They will also help my scholars to learn to spell their own names and identify the letters in their name. The Lakeshore magnetic letters will be used in our small groups as a hands on way to look at letters and spell them out. I will also put the letters out during our Active Learning time so that my scholars can practice spelling words around the room, from stories, or use inventive spelling.
My Pre-K scholars love learning letters especially if they are the letters in their name!
The sensory dough will allow the scholars to make letters in the dough or to just have fun playing with it! My scholars love our sensory table and play dough. I know they will enjoy playing with the new dough.
