Help me give my students a good quality carpet to replace our current worn and flimsy one.

My Project
The students in my 2023-24 fifth grade class are special in so many ways. They show kindness and care, dedication to learning/academics, and come from so many different backgrounds and strengths. Another quality in which they share is the love and support for one another. Our class truly feels like family.
I am humbly asking for your support and aid in requesting a new carpet for the students as the carpet area is the heart and focal point of our classroom.
It is where we do our class meetings, whole group lessons, skills groups, after lunch read aloud, and so much more. The current carpet that resides in our room is terrible as it is thin, flimsy, small, and uncomfortable. In the beginning of the year, it was a temporary band-aid but now is just becoming such a nuisance to deal with. It is also a safety hazard.
Having this project funded would not only be a dream come true for our students, but also such a burden lifted from our shoulders as we do about 70% of our learning from the carpet area. It is also where students can choose to complete their work in keeping with our "flexible seating" as well. We often dream about having a carpet that will not "move when we sit down or stand up."
In addition, my hope is that by having a new carpet, students will feel pride and even more excitement in wanting to engage in carpet time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this request. I am truly grateful for your consideration in bringing this project to life for my students and me.
