My students are fun-loving first graders who love learning and being in school. They are avid readers who enjoy reading with their friends. All of my students are well-behaved and very excited about learning. They are kind, caring, and help each other whenever they see an opportunity! My students are happy and energetic individuals.
The classroom is where they have the opportunity to have fun and learn simultaneously.
As a teacher in a low-income, high-poverty school district, I am aware of the challenges my students face both inside and outside of school. Approximately 5% of the students in my school are homeless and reside in shelters across the city, making it difficult for their parents to provide them with the necessities to begin the school year. Despite these challenges, my students arrive at school eager to learn. They are funny, intelligent, and active.
Providing them with a scooter would be an excellent way to kick off their summer.
Summer is approaching, bringing opportunities for playing in the park, going to the beach or pool, and for some, riding bikes or scooters. I would love to recognize my students for the hard work he/she has done throughout the school year. These gifts not only acknowledge their hard work but also encourage them to continue striving for excellence. I believe in the importance of healthy habits to ensure our brains are ready to learn and to keep our brains and heart healthy.
