This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that are being requested such as the candy is always a great incentive to get scholars motivated to do well, but also rewarding them for doing well when they felt like they were against the odds when something was hard. I also need to restock for the midyear with basics, especially pencils.

I believe that scholars should be rewarded for the amazing things they do and not just for doing well on a test, but also making good grades after failing the quarter before or helping others in the classroom who were struggling.

My goal is to make students feel good about themselves for the achievements that they make in the classroom.

I have many students who started out struggling at the beginning of the year and now they are making so much progress. Covid truly left a lasting effect on many children but showing up for them each and every day and rewarding them has made a difference.
