My Students

I teach young adults math in an alternative high school. Many students haven't had the best life circumstances, however, they haven't used that as an excuse to not accomplish their goals and succeed. All of them are special and capable of learning and deserve the world. They just need a little more exposure to different things and experiences. Because, in this room full of leaders, WE STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE!

They are driven, inquisitive, resilient, hardworking, loving, and tough.

They love being challenged!

My Project

A lot of my students learn by doing or they are visual learners. Some of my students need extra support with assignments and lecturing won't be as effective. Laminating our handmade posters with information, saves time and money.

Not having to replace posters so often is helpful and also allows more instructional time.

Currently, our school does not have a laminator and we (the teachers) have been going to the local school supply chain store to replace posters and/or get them laminated. That has been quite costly for us. This project is beneficial for ALL SUBJECTS, not just Math and Science.
