My Project
I'm moving into a self contained 4th grade classroom. I'm looking to start a classroom library as I've just been teaching math for the last several years. My hope is to provide students with high interest books to get them excited to read. My students come from low income homes that do not have access to many books. By providing them with a strong classroom library I'm hoping to ignite the joy of reading in them. The best way to get kids reading is have them excited to read. To get them excited they need to be able to find what interest them and challenges them. By having a high interest library I hope my 4th graders readers by the end of the year.
