Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright and enthusiastic learners with a passion for learning new things. Their thirst for new knowledge and learning about the world is amazing- they are always questioning and figuring out why things are the way they are.

My students come to our classroom with their own unique life experiences.

I want their 2nd grade year to be a positive experience that helps set the tone for the rest of their school career. My goal is for them to love school and love learning. They are excited to share their experiences and knowledge with everyone.

I am requesting various chapter books and graphix novels for my students to read both in class and at home. These books are highly engaging and ones my students will be so excited to read! Many of my students are just starting out for the first time with reading chapter books so I've selected a wide range of books that all readers can appreciate and enjoy. I want my students to look foward to reading and I think these new books will help them do that!
