My Project

My students are eager learners. They love to learn new things. My first graders are becoming great readers and are excited to read new books. These books will provide an opportunity for my students to read more books. They are interested in comic books and these will be engaging for them!

My students are becoming more fluent readers and are building a large sight vocabulary.

They are excited to learn new sound spellings and read bigger words! Our new phonics curriculum has digital slides that are a part of the program to help students build fluency and automaticity with reading. The slide clicker will help me to be able to click through slides more quickly to make the program as efficient as it should be.

The habitat books will be used by my students to independently read about different habitats in order to do a project that will extend their learning about animals and their habitats. These are books my students can read and learn from. This unit is one of my students' favorite units. My students will love having books they are able to read on the topic we are learning.

This project will enhance the reading of my students throughout the school year as they progress as readers.
