This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by giving them access to their most loved titles. The Raina Telgemeier Collection 5 Books Set (Sisters, Drama, Smile, Ghosts, Guts) have been on my students' classroom library wishlist. I want to be able to provide this book in my own classroom because of their eagerness to read them. These books motivate my students who haven't found the love of books, yet. That means by providing access to these motivational books, my reluctant readers will soon become avid readers because the books that make them laugh and entertain them are in hands reach.
Access to books is the key to providing the skills necessary for my learners.
I also want to add a rotating bookshelf in our classroom library. Due to our limited space, this would be a perfect addition. It would make book selection much easier for my eager readers. Also, students need headphones to listen to stories.
