This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Though we have plenty of books our reading "area" leaves a lot to be desired. Our carpet was recently removed, leaving students to read on the cold tiled floor. I noticed that since then, the area feels cold and uninviting.

I would love an area, designated by an area rug, that is inviting for for all my students to be able to go to and feel encouraged to read.

Reading is so important and fundamental that I want to really instill a love for reading and for them to transfer this love to their adult lives.
