My Students

Have you ever wondered what happens to your food once you swallow it? Have you ever wondered why we have storms? My students do!!

I teach first grade in Northern Indiana.

We have a high level of poverty in our area. This year I am teaching "high ability" students. They are constantly asking questions, that is one of the reasons that they are doing so well in school. Keeping one step ahead of them can be a fun challenge.

My Project

I am asking for 4 science related books to help me explain some of the wonders of our world to the students. One book talks about energy and movement. Another discusses fish and amphibians. They can also learn about our weather and climate and what causes our weather. The last book I'm asking for is about the digestive system. Kids always want to know more about that!!

By donating to this project you will enabling me to challenge my students more and to keep them interested in learning.

Science is so important but often gets pushed aside. These books will open the student's eyes to new things in their world!
