My Students
Don't let the fact that my students are special needs fool you! They are talented, capable and ready to learn! These brave students made it through 18 months of virtual despite their disabilities, and they are looking forward to returning the school building this year!
My Project
Please help me create a comfortable space for my special needs students to develop a love for reading! Help them to understand that they can read for pleasure and not just for academics. I want them to learn that reading can be fun, relaxing and enjoyable. Creating a space that feels like a home away from home can help them experience this. This is also a good way for agitated students who may need some quiet time away from the rest of the class, to use reading as a way of self-calming.
