My Students

Our school is a Title One School, with all students recieving free lunches. Teachers supply many of their own supplies and some resources for their classroom.

My students are caring, energetic, and free spirited.

They come in each morning smiling, full of energy, and ready for a exciting day! They are always looking for a way to have fun. Some are quite the jokesters! They like to read and discuss, with me and each other, what they are reading about. Some of the best conversations begin after they are finished reading a book!

My Project

Our class library has very few books and the books we do have are very old and falling apart. My students truly love to read and get away from the stresses they face at home and in our classroom at school.

As a teacher I feel reading is a great escape, but also a very important and required life skill.

We need books that the students are interested in, to promote their love for reading. Please help to increase the selection of books in my classroom, so students can choose from a variety when they are looking to take their next magical journey!
