About My Students
I love it when my students get excited about reading. The other day my student Jesus asked if I could get more books for my classroom library.
My students know that they need to read at home each night and in school when they finish their classwork. However, the books my students love to read, such as the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, aren't always available in our school library.
Therefore, I want to order more books for my classroom.
Reading helps students excel in all subject areas. Being able to read fluently will allow my students to thrive in high school and college. Reading books that are of high interest to the students will keep them reading throughout their lifetime. Reading opens the door to new adventures and expands the mind, body, and soul.
In Their Own Words
My name is Jesus, and I want to read the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Unfortunately, they're always checked out from our school library, so we need them for Ms. Z's class library.
It's Melanie, and I think it's important to have good books to read. That's why we want Ms. Z to order new books. Also, the squeeze balls will help us relax and focus while we read.
Reading is really important for us to succeed in life. We need to improve our reading skills so we can do well in high school and college.
If we have good books to check out from our classroom library, we can do our reading homework. Then we'll be responsible students.
If this project gets funded, we'll be able to read some awesome books that we selected. Also, if we get the squeeze balls, we can use them while reading to calm us down.
Ms. Z says that reading books can help us improve our vocabulary skills and our reading levels.
