My students need fiction and nonfiction books for guided reading and small groups.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My fourth grade students are very loving, caring, and curious. They love being engaged in the classroom and truly appreciate all things donated to the classroom. In addition, these curious fourth graders love learning! My students come from a very low socioeconomic background and do not have the access to technology. Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch. We have the highest rate of ELL (English language learners) in the state and a high number of special education students.
My Project
These reading materials will help students in the classroom improve reading stamina, create a love for reading, and increase their reading levels. The students are currently in need of high interest books to help build their reading stamina. These particular books are going to be used for small groups and literature circles. They will also primarily be read by students who are at or above grade level. These students will be provided a challenge which will help them increase reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. I am excited to see where these fiction and nonfiction books can take student learning and engagement.
