This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious and enthusiastic my third-grade students are about learning, especially when it comes to reading in Spanish. They are part of a Dual Language 50/50 program (Spanish/English). Many of them are learning Spanish as a new language, while others who already speak Spanish are developing their reading and comprehension skills. I want to give all of them the chance to fall in love with books just like they do in English. By having their own copy of El Caballero del Alba from the Magic Tree House series, they will build fluency, strengthen comprehension, and feel proud of reading a full chapter book in Spanish. This resource will support both their language development and their confidence as readers.
