My Project
The books in this project are ones students have been begging to read! Most of the books have been recently published. Some are the newest addition to favorite series. Others are books that supplement learning that has happened throughout various lessons in the classroom and the library.
One way to ensure students will read is to get books in their hands that they WANT to read.
These books are just that -- books that have been requested by specific students. By providing these books to my students we will continue to work on our ever-important goal of growing as readers.
Student A just learned about author Jess Keating and can't wait to read her newest book about strange animals! Student B can't wait to see what Jory John has in store for his newest book, Sour Grape! Student C has read all 11 books in the Press Start series and is waiting to dive into book 12! Student D struggled to read the I Survived chapter books, but once they came out in nonfiction he is growing his English vocabulary with the assistance of the illustrations in the newest graphic novels of the same stories.
I have stories like the ones above for each book in this project. Please make my students' holiday dreams come true by finishing the year 2022 with these brand new, sure to be beloved, books for our school library!
