This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
"You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax all you need is a book" Dr. Seuss. My incoming Kindergarten students are curious learners who are just learning to read and will benefit from a comfy, cozy, and quaint reading nook. A great reading nook should include a round activity table with fun stools, a "hideaway" tent and a bookcase for access to reading materials.
I teach in a culturally diverse Kindergarten ICT classroom where some students are special needs.
Majority of my students are from low income families and do not have access to a variety of children's literature in their home. Also many students are English Language Learners, and need to feel inspired and motivated to read. A reading nook will be just what they need to succeed!
