I teach a fun, active group of 25 second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!
My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.
They need engaging ways to practice the skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!
They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.
My Project
This has been a year like no other. We are constantly having to find ways to change the game and keep the kids engaged! One way to do this is through stories. These books are engaging and high quality stories. The books will also allow children to see themselves and see others who aren't like them. The Pokemon books are highly requested in my room by my readers. These books will engage even the most reluctant readers! With new books, we will need bins to put them in! The books need to be stored somewhere.
Art can engage any child in a subject.
The paint brushes will be used with our paints at school. These brushes will allow each child to have their own and not need to share with the others in the class, or even the grade level. The paint sticks will allow us to paint with no mess! No mess is exactly what we need in this time.
We also are out of gloves in our room now. These gloves will help protect us and keep us safe!
