This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special because they are ready for someone to fill their buckets and teach them about diversity and restorative justice. We are hungry for ways of dealing with change and conflict. They need motivation and resources to assist in understanding that they "CAN" be the change they want to see in the world... Third grade is a critical year where most students are reading to learn! I need to get my kids on the reading express highway! Help!

My Project

These materials will give my students the motivation needed to move up and catch up to where they must be. This is an urgent call for help because third grade is such a pivotal year! I am asking that with your help we change the classroom environment and make it so that whatever skill needs to be attained will get processed! There are many elements to acquiring knowledge, the brain needs to feel safe and able, students have to increase their self-confidence and believe that they are able to orchestrate their learning. The value of coming to school excited and eager to participate goes beyond words. The importance of offering my students comfort and materials needed to impulse that spark will move mountains. I want them to leave third grade knowing that we care and will make a pathway towards their development. It is possible... It is attainable...
