Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I want my students to become skilled, passionate, and habitual lifelong learners. However, it's no secret that most students simply are not excited about science.
I work with an amazing group of children who are eager to learn.
I enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes when we get ready to complete a science lab. My students come from diverse backgrounds which make them unique. Many of my students come from low income families. However, they are the best kids on the planet.
My Project
Science World Scholastic Magazine is a classroom magazine that I know my students will enjoy. Every month the students will be exposed to a variety of different exciting science concepts. With each issue students will stay informed about the latest happenings in every area of science. This will help my students build critical-thinking and problem solving skills as they have fun.
Fascinating stories and spectacular photographs teach students core science content as they develop literacy skills.
Each article teaches reading strategies, academic vocabulary, and nonfiction text features. Your help will ensure that my students have the opportunity to study science in a more in-depth way.
