My Students
My students come from mixed socioeconomic backgrounds. They usually start the year explaining to me how social studies is their least favorite class in school. However, I then explain to them that I want to teach them social studies in a way they have never been taught before and their interest is sparked. Then it is up to me to deliver!
My students are creative minded, active learners who are oftentimes misunderstood.

My Project
I am transforming my classroom this year from a traditional style classroom to a flexible seating environment. I will be using the Elite Bean Bag Chair and the Light Accents Floor Lamps to create a soft, welcoming atmosphere where students will enjoy sitting back and reading about the stories we will be discussing in class. The coffee table will add to the utility of the space.
21st Century students are constantly changing - we, as educators, need to adapt our learning strategies to reach all students.
I believe that approaching the classroom style from a more non-traditional direction will help bring students on board to a new way of learning. Please help me make this idea a reality!
