My Project
Art has the ability to unite and bring change. Scholastic Art magazine will enable my students to discover their full potential by seeing the beauty in the world. All students receive free lunch and breakfast since every family is low-income. There is a large percentage of English Language Leaners and Special education students. So many of the students face extreme challenges before they arrive to school in the morning.
Scholastic Art magazine has vibrant images and will grab the attention of my students.
The magazine showcases a vast array of art, techniques and visual artists to help my students connect to a new experience. So many have never visited a museum or understand the importance of the arts. The magazine also includes internet access to videos and interactive content, which will help develop 21st century skills.
My hope is that my students will develop a deeper understanding and a greater appreciation for the arts. The magazine will also increase English language skills as well improve students reading and writing scores.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
