My Students
Help bring artists and art history alive! Our art room library is in desperate need of books about...well art!
My students are energetic, hardworking, and art loving!
They attend a small Title I school in Tennessee. Students at our school have worked extremely hard the past couple years to improve their math and reading comprehension. While these are two areas that we still struggle in, students have shown growth and continue to challenge themselves.
My Project
With our new art room library resources, students will be able to independently research and enjoy stories about artists and art. It is essential for students to have as many available resources as possible. Books are a fantastic way to encourage reading, engage students individually, and reinforce art history with the class. Students will learn about important artists and art movements with the addition of these specific art book series.
This project is important because I want to encourage my students to read every opportunity they get.
By having art specific books in our art room, students will learn more about the artists and art movements that they know and love. By donating to this project, you are not getting books for just one classroom, but for an entire school for years to come.
