This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We currently only have 1 working Nook Charger for 24 Nooks. This makes it a challenge to charge our Nooks.

I currently teach 33 very sweet first graders in a Title 1 school located in a high poverty and high crime area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

All of my students qualify to receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have 1 Special Education student and 8 ESL (English as a Second Language) students in my classroom.

My Project

I am hoping to get 2 Nook Chargers in order that my students can read books on their Nooks rather than looking at a uncharged device. My students also need covers to protect their Nooks. Our current covers are dirty and stained. We also need cases to protect our Chromebooks. The children are responsible for taking out and putting away the Chromebooks everyday. In order to keep our laptops safer and last longer we need a cover for them.

Please support this project and get my 33 first graders accessories for our Nooks and Chromebooks.
